The TLTC offers a wide variety of workshops that are open to faculty, instructors and graduate students. Every quarter, we provide workshops on different pedagogical issues. We also offer workshops on teaching well using technology, so that instructors make effective and efficient use of technology in the classroom. Furthermore, we offer small workshops on specific technologies in our Tech Time workshops. Click the series' titles to find out more.
Note that some departments count attendance of the TLTC workshops for graduate student academic credit. Please consult your graduate program advisor or director of graduate studies for more information.
Dr. Shaun Longstreet and, on occasion, senior graduate Pedagogical Fellows are available to provide confidential one-on-one consultations with graduate students who are interested in discussing any issue about their teaching. These consultations can take place in conjunction with a videotaping of a class session and/or mid-quarter evaluations. They can just as well be conducted on an ad hoc basis.
- Consultation as part of an application to be a future Pedagogical Fellow
- Consultation with a Classroom Session Videotaped
- General Consultation (preferably with some form of student feedback, midpoint or post-quarter course evaluations)

The Dean of the Division of Undergraduate Education, the TLTC, the Office of Graduate Studies, and the Senate Council on Student Experience recognize teaching excellence at the annual Celebration of Teaching. Two 'Most Promising Future Faculty" awards are given each year. Nominations begin in the winter quarter.
For teaching resources, we have created a list of links based on topics and have incorporated them into a "tag cloud." Please explore our Del.icio.us "tag cloud" and you will find several articles and websites devoted to the subjects listed in the keywords below. Feel free to join our network and suggest bookmarks that you think will be beneficial for other educators.
